We’re a few weeks away from the release of the FM19 beta, so I have to finish the project by then, as I’ll be starting a new challenge with the new game. As I mentioned in the last blog, I was planning to wrap up the current project at the end of the 2029 summer transfer window. FOOTBALL MANAGER PROBLEMS
I enjoy playing Football Manager so much... it's such an immersive game. And yet sometimes, the game drops something on you that breaks the spell.. I am stunned. While I’ve long known, like many fans probably, that there is corruption in the sport of professional football, I didn’t realise the nature and extent of it. This book is absolutely essential reading for anyone interested in football. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Wow! What an end to a season! Despite finding it really difficult to win matches, and having really patchy form, I’ve somehow come away with retaining the Premier League and Champions League. That ambition is to fill my Sheffield Wednesday team with England internationals, so that the senior England squad is made up exclusively of SWFC players. I’m so close now I can taste it! The last few hold-outs are either not for sale, priced way too high, or in the case of Logan Dawkins, demanding ridiculous wages. But players come and go in the England squad, and players get dropped or injured. I only need to right combination of circumstances now, and my dream will be fulfilled!
Here is how the current England squad looks...
